Work Life Balance

Work Life

Technology has taken control of our lives. We remain online 24×7 and carry stress from office to home or vice-versa. When was the last time we met an old school friend or took a kid to the garden or read a favorite book?  If you cannot remember any one of these, this article is for you.

When I talk about work-life balance, it is not just about career and family. There are other pillars like health, friends and self-improvement as well which need to be managed successfully and consistently. Splitting 24 hours into equal parts does not mean work life balance. We work in the competitive environment where at times the demands are more. We should learn to swing this pendulum effectively at both the ends.We have different priorities and we lead different lives. For example, a bachelor, a single mother or a married person would all have different commitments.

The major reason for this imbalance is a lack of time management. The key is not to schedule but to prioritize your task. Another reason would be not following our passion and ending up fulfilling someone else’s dream. Learn to say No whenever required.  Have you ever feel the need for a long break? If yes, it is time for some introspection. Seriously, you need to change your job or the way you are doing the job.

How could you deal these situations?Ask what matters you the most. Never work just for the money! Enjoy your work and put in all the efforts and then money will follow automatically.Give some free time for yourself. If you get stuck, in any specific problem, get out of the room; change your focus from the problem and I am sure you will be able to find a solution.

Start your day early when you are most productive. Drop activities which drain your energy. We as a human being have differences but building  a healthy and peaceful relationship with everyone  is important that will give us a feeling of enjoyment every day.Take some time out from routine work, go to the gym, practice meditation, make friends for the lifetime and party hard.

I would like to conclude by saying  earn enough money, invest time in the relationship, stay fit, work smart, follow your passion and be happy.Enjoy each and every small thing you do in your life and celebrate each achievement.
